Chess Club with US Chess Center (grades 2-6)
Chess club combines skill-appropriate lessons with adequate time for the students to practice and play. Students are grouped by chess ability so that all are challenged. All that is required is a desire to learn! The club philosophy places a low priority on winning. Instead, students will focus on improving their skills. Good sportsmanship is the key to having fun.
MEETING DAYS: THURSDAYS, 3:30 - 5:00pm
PROGRAM DATES: October 3rd - January 30th
Registration Closed until Spring Session
Odyssey of the Mind (grades vary)
Odyssey of the Mind is an International Creativity Competition. Teams of 5-7 students (facilitated by teacher or parent coaches) decide upon a challenge problem to develop a long-term solution. Some problems are theatrical, some are technical and some are both! Teams write their own plays, create their own scenery and props, and address the challenge as creatively as possible given a limited budget! On competition day, teams present their solution and also solve a spontaneous challenge.

Registration Closed for the 2019-20 School Year
